Among the best hostels I've stayed at. I found the facilities to be quite thoughtful. I got a 6-bed female dorm, but the room did not feel crowded at all, and was quite spacious and airy, with a sizeable storage box under the bed that fit my medium-sized luggage. The bed itself was comfortable with curtains you can draw. I appreciate that the hostel tries to keep sleeping hours (no usage of hairdryer past 10pm). Fellow travellers were also friendly and considerate, and I think it's because the hostel keeps a good culture. Kitchen was great, with some free items, dishwasher, plenty of clean utensils. The hostel even organised a pesto night for people to mingle.

I had an amazing experience staying at this hostel! The location is absolutely perfect – just a short walk from La Spezia train station, which makes it super convenient for exploring the stunning Cinque Terre. You can easily commute to all the major spots in no time! The breakfast was also great, with a good variety of options to start your day off right. What really made the stay memorable, though, was the host. They were incredibly informative and genuinely helpful, providing excellent tips and making sure you felt completely at home. It truly felt like a cozy and welcoming environment.

Superb location - tranquil and magical. Sonia is lovely and kind and makes for great conversation, always with a funny story about her mother! I loved it so much I extended my stay! Located 300 metres from the sandy beach in Levanto, Ospitalia del Mare is set in a historical building preserving the original décor. nice easy walk from the train station. close to downtown and the beach and the uphill climb over the mountain. Bella
