The atmosphere inside the building is excellent. I stayed in a loft room, which gave me a wonderful sense of being away from the ordinary—just perfect. The water pressure in the shower was spot on. There’s a washing machine and dryer, making it ideal for long-term stays. There’s a bar on the check-in floor, so if you still feel like drinking at night, it’s a great option. On the second floor, there’s a refrigerator and microwave, which is perfect if you want to cut back on eating out. Top Lage: 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof und praktisch direkt am historischen Bikan-Viertel. Die Atmosphäre im Gebäude ist sehr angenehm. Ich habe in einem Loft-Zimmer übernachtet – das war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis und fühlte sich wie eine kleine Auszeit vom Alltag an. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war einwandfrei. Waschmaschine und Trockner sind vorhanden, also auch ideal für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Im Check-in-Bereich gibt es eine Bar – perfekt für alle, die abends noch nicht genug vom Ausgehen haben. Im zweiten Stock gibt es einen Kühlschrank und eine Mikrowelle – ideal, wenn man mal nicht auswärts essen möchte.

Mr Sakamoto was a wonderful host! He does his job well as local town tourist information manager. He welcomed us, gave us some maps and answered our questions. It’s a converted Japanese house, not a hotel. We stayed in the cheaper dormitory part of the property. It was adequate. In the dormitory side the two rooms are upstairs and the toilet and small shower are downstairs. The toilets were clean and the kitchenette area under the stairs was adequate for simple dinner and breakfast we had. The local supermarket is a short distance away by car and open 9a-9p. Plenty of selection available. We enjoyed a morning walk along the lovely little river and through the town and countryside. The firefly park and pavilion were a short drive away but they were interesting to see. We’d love to go back in the spring during cherry blossom season and in early June for the firefly season. The stars were beautiful since there’s little light pollution!
