Gjestehuset 102 offers accommodation in Longyearbyen. Guests at this small hostel can buy snacks and drinks. Explore the town centre which is located about 2.5 km away. This is my 2nd time here! The staff were so helpful as always. Special thanks to Angie and Khristin who made my stay as comfortable as possible. They serve breakfast in the morning and help you with booking expeditions outside of Longyearbyen! There is a kitchen with enough fridges and if you don’t feel like cooking there’s coal miners just one minute away! If you don’t feel like walking to the grocery store they have some commodities to sell at the reception! The showers were sooooo big it’s actually nice to relax after a day out! There’s a small area with couches to enjoy some peace away from the dorm :) Important note: it is NEVER cold in the dorms despite the very negative temperatures outside! I always like coming back here it’s like having a family in Svalbard
