We recommend a longer stay in Barentsburg to taste some of its vibe of humble, genuine, peaceful, friendly creativity in an amazing setting. We stayed one week, could easily have stayed longer. This hotel offers budget accommodation on the Arctic Ocean island of Svalbard. Communal facilities include a kitchen and TV lounge. Snowmobile safaris, dog sledding and glacier walks can be arranged. The staff was excellent! They gave us a bigger room because we were with a child, but they didn't charge for a room upgrade. Rooms are clean, hot in the rooms. The breakfast is very good! We checked out of the hostel at 5 am. All those who flew with us on this flight, the hostel staff made breakfast for us. Although according to the rules breakfast starts at 7 am. Thanks to the staff for the best service! I would also like to say that every evening at 18.00 and 18.30 a bus leaves from the Raddison Hotel to Coal Miners Cabins. This is very convenient, because in the evening when a person is tired, there is an opportunity to get to the hostel for free.
