Nina was a very welcoming hostess. The hostel-like kitchen was spacious and efficient with ample fridge and separate dry goods storage for all. The cabins below were comfortable with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The lodge itself was roomy and warm with space for meals and relaxing. There was even a pool table!

Beautiful, clean accommodation in a good location.

The combination of its central location, affordable rates, and clean, comfortable rooms makes it an excellent choice for both short and long stays. While it may not offer luxury amenities, it excels in providing the essentials at a great price.

Lovely private room at a backpackers hostel right by the lakefront in Te Anau. The room was clean and comfortable, and the shared kitchen was convenient for preparing food. Walking distance to the main street restaurants, tours etc.

The backpackers is 90% of the way though being refurbished, and it’s looking great - much better than we were expecting. Comfortable bed, good facilities (kitchens, bbq, covered tables, etc). Tidy and well kept. Pleasant staff. Great location.

Great location. Lovely staff. The building seems to be purpose build and the facilities (kitchen, out door space, eating and other shared areas), are very good … a bit more attention on sound proofing would have made it even better

We had a lovely stay. As a backpacker / hostel style place we were really pleasantly surprised by how lovely our private double room was - it felt like an upscale hotel room! We had a fantastic view of the lake whilst the room itself was incredibly spacious. It's also a great location, right in the centre and within easy walking distance of all the town's amenities.

The hostel got everything you need as a backpacker. Kitchen is well equipped and sufficient laundry facilities. Everything was clean!

This is a nice hostel in a great location, just a block from the lake and close to lots of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The bathrooms are very clean, there are lots of couches to lounge on, and there's laundry on site. The kitchen is well equipped. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
