Very colourful and clean. Staff and guests were very friendly and the free shuttle service from the station was a game changer for me. I came as a last minute thing and informed the team of what I might benifet from. Jacinda wrote back derailing exactly the steps and ramps and what might be tricky for me so I could navigate it and work it out. Making access is really clear for me. Thank you would love to stay again! Beds so comfy and clean really nice vibe of the whole place.

Extra covers for the bed if you are cold, or you can turn the heater on. There is free bread, milk, cereal, jam, etc. for breakfast. Also different coffees and teas. Lots of free parking around the hostel. 2min to Queens park and 15min to city center. Merlyn was lovely,. Beth as well. She borrowed me her rain jacket because I forgot mine at home.

At the hostel, all rooms have air conditioning and a shared bathroom. this is one of my favorite hostels i've ever stayed at! such a unique place to stay with the shipping containers! the beds are comfortable and have outlets nearby which is so nice!! the place was so peaceful and the staff put on a fire every night! the owner, mick, could not have been nicer or more helpful! he helped me organize water taxis and understand the tide times every day when planning my route for the abel tasman coast track. he also helped me organize last minute transportation back the nelson which was a god send. the kitchen and all facilities were so clean and there were so many amenities!

In addition to the Spotless rooms … I cannot give a high enough rating for Craig’s cooking. Our meal was one of the best anywhere we’ve eaten in NZ. All fresh veggies from garden. Salad had little blue edible flowers! Not only beautiful, but tasty huge portions!
