I spent 4 nights. The Partenope is well located. Angra is small town and everything is reachable by foot. Also Mounte Brasil hike. Car can be parked for free on the same or close-by street. It is great place to explore whole island and come back in the evening for quality restaurants. The place itself is recently renovated and well kept, clean and comfortable. The host has been wonderfully helpful and I liked the breakfasts included in the price. This enabled me convenient early starts for hikes round the island. All in all great value!

I was there during low season, and despite having booked just a bed in a dorm room, I had the whole room to myself for the week. Everything was super clean and fresh, you could tell the facilities were very new. The staff was super friendly, showed me around the place and recommended things to do while I was there. There's a great kitchen you can use if you don't want to go out to eat, but the hostel is very central so there are also several places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. The location just by the beach is perfect. Unfortunately my room didn't have an ocean view, but the private rooms do. There is not always staff on site, which I didn't mind, but be aware of it if you prefer a more traditional check-in experience and 24h reception. Before check-in, I got an email explaining what to do, and it was fairly simple if you have basic smartphone skills. The door was opened with an app, and when I arrived I didn't see a soul, but the room and bed number was clearly indicated in the app, so I just went there and got in without issues. They had also left a traditional key card for me on the reception desk, so I didn't have to worry about not getting back in in case my phone ran out of battery or something. I think these kinds of procedures are very handy, giving you a lot of independence about check-in times etc, but again, you might disagree if you prefer to only interact with humans. Highly recommended!

Pretty, charming boutique guesthouse with ocean views and easy access via main road. We loved charm of the hostess and her attention to details all around the place, thanks to which you could feel yourself at home. Such places deserve even more than a 10 :)

It's really nicely decorated, very clean and a very well equipped kitchen. Location is in the main part of town, very close to the beach, restaurants and the big supermarket Continental. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. We got a private room, it's big, has a big window, big bed, open closet, reading chair and TV. The curtains are not blackout, but there's a second roll up behind it that helps. Bed is very comfortable! We didn't have the chance to eat the breakfast because we either left too early/slept in.

Excellent breakfast if you are after healthy eating and coffee - homemade granola, fruit, chia seeds or sunflower seeds, breads, cakes, homemade spreads, cheese and meat tray. Very helpful staff - Sophia, Elena and Swen all made us feel very welcome and shared many insights about the area. King bed was great, room was very comfortable. Shower quickly heated up and great pressure. Easy walk to many sights.

Globo Happy Hostel in Angra do Heroísmo features a terrace and a shared lounge. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and in-house parking is provided. Very convenient to the city as it is on the side of Praça Velha. Everything is nearby or a short walk away. The room was very nicely organized and had everything you would need.
