Dukat is a village with a rich history and a unique cultural heritage. One of the main attractions of Dukat is the Dervish Ali Towers, a 19th-century complex that served as a residence and fortification. These towers have been declared a Cultural Monument since 1987, but due to lack of maintenance, they are in a dilapidated condition and are at risk of complete destruction.
An important development for Dukat is the opening of the Llogara Tunnel in July 2024, which has significantly reduced the travel time from Dukat to Palasë from 30 minutes to just 7 minutes. This tunnel has improved connections to the coast and opened up opportunities for tourism and economic development.
