"Communa" guest house is in the historical center of Gyumri. Built in 1865, it was part of Ghasabov’s private house. The building is officially listed as a cultural heritage of Armenia. It is just 3-minute walk away from the main, Vardanants Square and the main historical sights of the city center. It is also on a walking distance from Gyumri's best restaurants, cafes, and museums. Ask us, and we will be more than happy to recommend our favourite spots.
We have not only preserved the historical layers of the house but also added items of different periods from the times of Alexandrapol, soviet Lenninakan to modern-day Gyumri. The guesthouse has two separate rooms.
On the first floor it’s a double room with a private bathroom. Double Room with Private Bathroom has a spacious double-bedroom with a cozy corner to get some work done or to enjoy a nice book. It has a private bathroom, a kitchen, and a convertible sofa that can accommodate another adult or two children.
On the second floor we have a double room with a private bathroom and balcony. It is a cozy bedroom with two beds that convert into one queen-size bed. The room also has a working table with a kettle and a set of herbal teas. The charm of the room, is the view of Gyumri’s rooftops.
The house has a common entrance hall where you can enjoy nice music and have freshly brewed coffee.
In 2019, We, Christina, and Davit moved from the capital Yerevan to Gyumri and opened a guesthouse. The house is in the center, yet is far from the urban noises.
Communa is 3-minute walk away from the main, Vardanants Square. Nearby, you can find all the best bakeries, cafes, and restaurants, such as Aregak Bakery, Shiraz Restaurant, Nazuk Cafe, Mer Hatsy, as well as the tourists’ favourite Ponchik-Monchik.
It is on a walking distance of our favorite museums - the museum of the Aslamazyan sisters, the Still museum of contemporary graphic arts, and house museums of Mher Mkrtchyan, Hovhannes Shiraz, Avetiq Isahakyan.
