Our holiday home has been built with great care and attention to detail. With just as much love we decorated it in October 2017. A warm cozy house with many natural elements where everyone feels welcome. The house has a spacious kitchen and cozy dining area with wooden table. A spacious sitting area with fireplace for the winter. Through the French doors you come to the terrace with cozy dining area and lounge chairs. The deep backyard has a trampoline and space for ball games. At the end is a mountain stream to play. From the house you have direct view of the ski lift. The garden is south facing. On the large balcony you can sit, relax, drink some coffee and enjoy the mountainview. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 1 bedroom has a double bed and a large balcony, which also serves as a veranda. The other bedroom has a double bed and sleeping chair (easy to fold up to bed with thick mattress). In the attic there is a bunk bed and a single bed; a cozy sleeping / play area for the children. The staircase to the attic is somewhat steeper. The attic access to the attic is less suitable for children under 4 years.

In 2014, the idea for a holiday home in Austria arose. The love for the country was there for a longer period, that we decided to buy a holiday home. Austria / Carinthia has a 4 seasons character, the possibilities of the area in nature and culture and the nice climate. The three-country point has an alpine-Mediterranean climate: in summer, high temperatures and lots of sun. Summer temperatures above 25°C are very common in July and August. But also in the spring and autumn the temperature is often around 20°C. The winters are characterized by lots of sun, snow and cold nights. It can be at night -20°C, and then on the day after +20°C in the sun. There are almost no 'warm winds', like elsewhere in Austria. This keeps the snowcondition better and longer. We love active summer vacations with our children and alternate with a day of swimming. The Faaker See is about 15 minutes away and has a temperature of about 25°C in the summer. In addition, we like to ski, something that is good in 3 countries! The holiday home is located on the ski slope. Tarvisio and Kransjka Gora fall under the same ski region, so you can also ski here for a few days!

Our holiday home is located at the foot of the mountain of the Three Countries Point Austria, Italy and Slovenia. A fantastic place to forget everything at home and to relax. The possibilities of the area are endless, both in winter and in summer. The house is centrally located in Carinthia, situated at a quiet place near to the woods. (15 minutes from Villach). Many activities are close by in Austria, Italy and Slovenia. Breakfast in Austria, lunch in Slovenia and dinner in Italy! How special is that! For families with or without children and the elderly; anyone who loves culture, nature and sports activities will have a fantastic holiday here. With a stay in our holiday home you have three cultures, the mountains and the lakes close together. Berghaus Christel is very easy to drive. Only after 4 kilometers of the highway lies our holiday home at an altitude of 680 meters. (The rest is highway.) In winter, this road is kept free of snow.
