In winter, our region impresses with an excellent network of cross-country ski trails with 180 kilometres of trails between the Tauplitzalm, Grimming and Ödensee. The skiing area "die tauplitz" with a modern gondola lift offers the ideal downhill run for beginners to experts. In summer, the Ausseerland Salzkammergut region impresses with its crystal-clear lakes and a variety of cycling and mountain biking opportunities. The fantastic mountain world invites you to take small hikes for families (e.g. the Tauplitzalm alpine plateau or the Tressensteinwarte) or ambitious mountain tours such as those on the Grimming. In between, there are of course many half-day or day hikes, such as on the Kampl, the Hechelstein, the Hochmühleck, the Ausseer Zinken and many more.
