Haus am Hof is a historic building of the 15th century located only a few seconds walk from the city centre of Hallstatt, and landmark of Hallstatt - the old market. In fact, Haus Hallstatt was used for the retinue of the emperor and his wife - the famous princess Sissy before owned by our family. Even though situated in the centre, Haus Hallstatt is the perfect hide away and will offer a quiet stay with a panoramic view of the Lake of Hallstatt and the surrounding mountains.  The rustic-styled rooms are kept as original as possible using restored wooden furniture and floors.  The apartment features a double bedroom (20sqm), a seating area (18sqm) including a sofa-bed if needed with a full equipped kitchen and dining area as well as a private bathroom (8sqm). The highlight of Haus Hallstatt is the hidden balcony (3sqm) offering a magnificent view - making sure you get the most out of your stay. A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a microwave and a fridge are also featured, as well as a kettle, a coffee machine and hair dryer. For those guests who will stay longer we can provide laundry services.

Hello everyone, my name is Christopher and I have Austrian and Greek roots and am living and studying in Vienna Austria. Moving to Vienna together with my passion for restoring old things and places was the root for the project - Haus Hallstatt, which has been owned by our family for a few centuries. I was lucky enough to be provided with the opportunity to play a major role in its renovation process with the vision being to provide our guests with a warm atmosphere and comfort. In fact we tried very hard to keep as much of Haus Hallstatt as original as possible in order to preserve the flair of the old days. The result is a combination of very old and new - we hope you enjoy it ! The neighbourhood is purely traditional and non-touristic, very quiet and private and offers the experience of a unique Hallstatt ambience. TOP SIGHTS AND ACTIVITIES IN HALLSTATT AND AROUND The market place is literally a breath away, taking less than one minute walk. The boat landing is a 2-minute walk away, and the Archaeological Museum can be reached in a 5-minute walk. The Dachstein Nord Ski Area is 5 km from the property, and Dachstein West is 10 km away. A free ski bus stops a 5-minute walk away. Salzberg, the salt mine is definitely worth visiting and also offers a unique view over Hallstatt. Waldbachstrupp is an amazing waterfall ! For those who want to experience the lake, you can rent a boat or take a boat tour. A surrounding walk with a great path offers the opportunity to visitors to walk around the lake, which is around 23 kilometres. The Dachstein Area, offers a variety of hiking routes, with the glacier being among the top sights. Gosausee, Altaussee and Wolfgangsee are also among the top lake sights in the region. Last but not least, a variety of restaurants as well as fast food shops will serve the culinary experience of your stay.
