Welcome to Ferncreek Studio - a peaceful, self-contained retreat in Hazelbrook, mid-Blue Mountains, offering stunning native bush garden views. It’s perfect for two guests but can accommodate up to four (extra fees apply). Pets are welcome, but please contact the host before booking to discuss your pet’s needs (pet fee). Furnished with antique arm-chairs, couch, double bed, fully equipped kitchenette, hot/cold air-conditioning, wifi, TV & DVD and movie library; a modern bathroom. The studio features:
* A private entrance and balcony with BBQ, table, and chairs.
* Cozy living space with antique armchairs, a couch, TV, DVD player, and a library of movies. Aircon.
* A comfortable double bed and a modern bathroom with a super-modern toilet that offers seat heating, massage, washing, and even music. Must be seated to operate. If not switched on, just a normal toilet. The shower has excellent hot/cold water pressure.
* A fully equipped kitchenette with a gas stove, microwave, fridge, sink, and basic cooking essentials.
Guests also have access to the expansive native bush backyard, complete with a fern-lined creek, which inspired the studio’s name. Note that the backyard is not fully fenced, so children and pets require supervision.
Birdwatcher’s Paradise:
Ferncreek is a haven for bird lovers and photographers, with numerous native species like parrots, lorikeets, kookaburras, bowerbirds, frequently visiting the garden and even perching on the balcony. Enjoy amazing photo opportunities as you relax with nature.
Explore the Blue Mountains:
Located just a 15-minute drive from iconic attractions like Katoomba, Wentworth Falls, and Leura, Ferncreek Studio is the ideal base for exploring the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. Hazelbrook itself offers beautiful waterfalls, such as Terrace Falls and Horseshoe Falls with glow worms, all within a short drive or walk. Hazelbrook is a town mid-blue mountains within an easy 1.5hr drive from Sydney. There are numerous beautiful bushwalks to waterfalls such as Terrace Falls, one of the most spectacular in Blue Mountains. The studio is located on the side of the main house at a suburban street but is very private, with its own entrance and overlooks the huge forest-like backyard full of native birds and, at night-time, possums and other animals.
