Our 150 acre property provides a peaceful escape for busy people. We have an open paddock, woodland and a Canopy Project of 15,000 native trees and 42 kms of direct seeding of native bushes. Every direction has its own beauty: the distant Mt Lofty ranges, glimpses of the huge lake Alexandrina and virgin bushland.
The land was bought in 1980 for running children's bush camps that went for 24 years. Previously we ran sheep and lambs but now there is just one brumby called 'Safari' and one rogue sheep, as well as chickens and 2 roaming peacocks.
The birdlife is prolific, sunsets and moon rises can be magnificent.
Attractions include the many cafes and hotels in beautiful Strathalbyn and the closely wine region of Langhorne Creek. The mighty Murray River runs through nearby Murray Bridge, history waits at the popular town Hahndorf and the amazing African style Monarto Zoo over hundreds of acres.
In warmer months, a 50 minute drive takes you to the beautiful south coast with great towns and beaches like Port Elliot, Victor Harbour, Middleton and Waitpinga.
