Traditional Australian Donga - single & double rooms with ensuite, fridge, TV, desk, luggage rack, tea & coffee facilities, outdoor sitting area in a lovely breezeway. 2 x cabins with queen beds and an extra bed. Free laundry facilities and an amazing camp kitchen, well-travelled guests have told us it's the best they have seen. Help yourself to a free breakfast in the morning, assortment of cereals, toast, condiments, tea, coffee, juice. We have a BBQ and relaxed sitting/dining area with games and TV, you are welcome to use the camp kitchen facilities - Air fryer, microwaves, toasters, jugs, pots/pans, plates, cutlery etc. If you are after a place to stop and rest, you can't go past the Bushchooks, clean rooms at an affordable price. We are in the process of updating and renovating the property to bring the 'Heart back to the Park'.
Being a family run business, we are hands on and love welcoming travellers to Bushchooks, as travellers ourselves - international and domestic, we understand the needs and concerns of our guests. We endeavour to always available, from the first contact at booking right through the arrival process and beyond. We are more than happy to assist and help in any way we can with personal service. We run the village like our own home, maintenance and cleaning is very important to us. Being from a farm of 160 acres we love animals; having had horses, chickens, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, cows, sheep a cat and pigs, we are pet friendly and look forward to meeting you. Jeff is a builder, so you see him working tirelessly fixing repairing and updating the village. You will meet me - Jody - at reception and speak to me on the phone. I love animals being a retired vet nurse, and being organised is something I excel at. I also speak Danish after having been an exchange student for 1 year in Denmark and am now a coordinator for students coming to Australia. You will also meet Brian & Ella when you arrive - our welcoming committee - Brian is a Kelpie cross whippet and Ella is a black Kelpie, both very friendly and love greeting our guests and having a pat. We really look forward to welcoming you to Bushchooks Travellers Village.
Guests love that the Bororen Hotel/Pub is a short walk up the street for an amazing homestyle cooked meal, and they are very generous meals. It is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is also a great dog off leash park directly opposite the Bushchooks. Bororen is a very friendly town with an Ampol Service station that also has great meals and conveniences, a post office and cafes for a light breakfast or coffee.
