Cockburn House is Cockburn House is more than 100 years old, built by the Davies family in Jamestown SA in 1912. Warren and Jane Luckraft bought the house in 2010 and have opened it up for guests to experience the romance and excitement of staying in one of the region’s truly iconic dwellings.
Set in an acre of garden, Cockburn House boasts a large presence, with beautiful turned verandahs and ornate lattice work. The area is a perfect space for large functions, afternoon musical entertainment and a relaxing meal under the vines or in the well appointed rotunda.
Warren and Jane have almost retired but still enjoy having guests to stay at Cockburn House.
Jamestown is a perfect place to take that holiday weekend. Centred in the Southern Flinders Ranges only a couple of hours north of Adelaide, the township is a great place to base yourself whilst visiting surrounding attractions like the historical Steam Town in Peterborough, the Gladstone Gaol, and the Courthouse Heritage Centre at Melrose. Experience some of the local food at O'Reilly's Orchard, and taste some of the Bundaleer Wines during your stay.
