We are a young couple with a busy toddler. We made a tree change from the big city to Coffs Harbour a few years ago and haven't looked back. We love sharing our little patch of paradise with travellers and visitors.
Emerald Beach, Coffs Harbour (NSW) Emerald Beach is a laid‑back seaside village about 15 minutes north of Coffs Harbour and close to Woolgoolga. With pristine golden sand, clear waters, and coastal headlands, it’s ideal for swimming, surfing, and relaxed beach walks. This peaceful spot—less busy than other Coffs Coast beaches—offers a family‑friendly vibe, with lifeguards patrolling during summer and safe, gentle waters for kids. Surfers will enjoy both a southern left‑hand reef break and a beach break, and you can often catch beginner lessons from local surf schools. Nearby, the coastal walk to Look At Me Now Headland reveals stunning views and resident kangaroos grazing by the track. Dogs are welcome off‑leash in some areas, and local cafés and picnic spots near the foreshore make it easy to grab a bite or enjoy a coffee with ocean views.
