Hi, I’m Teighan - A born-and-raised Novocastrian, mum of two gorgeous kids, and proud local business owner. Newcastle has always been home, and I love nothing more than sharing its beaches, bike paths, parks, and vibrant café scene with visitors.
Some of the homes I host are my own, while others belong to my wonderful clients who trust me to look after their properties as if they were my own. Through my business, Vida Property Co, I specialise in creating beautiful, welcoming stays and making sure every guest feels right at home.
When I’m not managing properties, you’ll usually find me down by the creek with my kids, exploring the markets, or enjoying a coffee at one of our great local cafés. Hosting is personal to me — it’s about giving guests the chance to experience Newcastle the way we locals do, so feel free to ask me anything!

Set on the banks of Throsby Creek, Tighes Hill is one of Newcastle’s most sought-after lifestyle suburbs. With its welcoming community vibe, it offers the perfect balance of inner-city convenience and relaxed, village-like charm.
Leafy parks, playgrounds, and scenic creekside paths are right on your doorstep, making it easy to walk, jog, or ride. The dedicated Throsby Creek cycleway winds its way from Tighes Hill through Islington and Carrington, linking directly to Honeysuckle, the foreshore, and all the way out to Newcastle’s famous beaches. It’s a favourite for locals who love to ride into town for coffee, head out for a morning jog by the water, or enjoy a relaxed family walk at sunset.
Families are spoilt for choice when it comes to green spaces. Our kids especially love Islington Park—with its fantastic playground, basketball court, BBQ facilities, off-leash dog park, and the joy of tossing leaves from the bridge over the creek. Gross Street Reserve is another gem, home to two playgrounds, open fields, and a community garden where locals gather.
Food and coffee culture are strong here too. Start your day with coffee from Praise Joe, enjoy a long brunch at Equium Social, or wind down with a drink at one of the friendly local pubs like The Maryville Tavern, The Royal Oaks, or The Cross Keys.
Whether it’s browsing the weekend farmers markets at the Entertainment Centre, cycling into town along the creek, or catching a sunset by the water, Tighes Hill offers an easygoing lifestyle that makes every day feel special.
