Salt Ash is located just a short 10 minute drive from Newcastle Airport. South of Nelson Bay, you are within 20 minutes to numerous working farms and vineyards that hug the coastline, providing foodies with farm-gate fresh produce, from figs and boutique wineries to avocados and craft beer. Murrays Brewery is famous for its unique craft beers which you can enjoy with wood-fired pizza and local music. Just up the road is Bobs Farm Avocado Stall (open from June - November) where you can purchase creamy avocados and bush honey straight from the farm - it doesn’t get any fresher than that. If you love a fish dish then make sure you visit the working barramundi farm and hydroponic gardens where you can take a tour or just settle in and savour a delicious lunch in Cookabarra Restaurant. For the more adventurous, get revved up at Go Karts Go and test your skills against the clock or get the gang together for a colourful battle at Hellfire Paintball.
