A secluded home built from the remains of an early 20th century country hotel, Baxter's has been a caretaker of friends, families, artists, thinkers and anyone who enjoys following the arc of the sun. Baxter Lodge offers peaceful and spacious quarters for either a couple, group or family to recharge, rejoice and reconnect with the simple pleasures of life. The Master bedroom with King bed with king pillows and views North and East through double french doors, this room can be as light or as dark as you like. A gorgeous old chaise lounge and robe for either weekend flings or longer stays ensure you feel at home here, no matter your length of stay. The Second Room is a quiet retreat with double windows on two sides to either let that sunrise and mountain air in, or curl up in the dark and listen to the rain for another hour. The Third Room… is for the sleepers (or the kids) being the darkest room of the house. Twin Rosenstengel beds flank a window that brings the outdoors in. An antique lowboy provides ample storage, ensuring all the comforts of home. And yes if needs be we can setup the beds side by side.

Mapleton is the first township in the Sunshine Coast's hinterland of the Blackall ranges, closest to Noosa and only 30minutes drive due East of the Sunshine Coast airport. There's not much here, and that's why we like it :) The main attraction are the National Park walks, lookouts and swimming holes, and the historic Mapleton Public House set atop the hill. You can't miss it. It's on the corner of our road (Obi Obi Rd) and has sweeping views of the entire coastline. Oh and it also has some of the best food in the entire region, recently being named one of Queensland's top 15 restaurants with food being grown just down the road at Falls Farm. Otherwise the main attraction here is the fresh air, the wildlife and the starry nights. All yours if you have the time to relax, be still and follow the arc of the sun.
