Welcome to Lumeah, Circa 1847, a grand colonial residence situated in the heart of Hobart. With a rich history including periods as an officer’s club for the nearby barracks and a boarding house for visitors from around the colony, this meticulously preserved gem offers a glimpse into the past while providing modern comforts for an unforgettable stay. Rambling verdant old-world gardens that includes mature magnolias, maples, Japanese Cherry and wisteria, offer the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Hobart.
The servant quarters are fully self-contained with living, double bedroom, bathroom and well-equipped kitchen. The quarters boast original features such as the double cast iron cooking range, expose convict brick and sandstone offering the perfect mix between old world charm and modern comfort. A separate room and bathroom are available for additional guests, please contact the host if you have more than 2 guests.
No off-street parking is available, however parking is available on the street. WIFI is offered to all guests.
Centrally located, it is only a short walk to the city, the delights of Salamanca and historical Battery Point – Lumeah is the perfect hideout for your Hobart adventures.
