Enter a magical Moroccan retreat hidden in the enchanting Dandenong Ranges—a true Ali-Baba cavern. This vibrant studio blends cultures and traditions, perfect for a solo or couple’s escape. Immerse yourself in its colorful bohemian charm, surrounded by handpicked, one-of-a-kind décor. Play chess on an Iranian board, sleep beneath a canopy of hand-embroidered Mongolian rugs, sip mint tea from Moroccan glasses, or lose yourself in the pages of Rûmî and 1001 Nights after a day of forest adventure. You will enjoy a self contained studio with a separate entry, sunroom, living/bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with a shower and driveway/parking at the bottom of the garden (for 4WD) or upstairs for Sedans (please reach out to confirm the parking spot). Please kindly note the Cockatoo village is in a rural area (Dandenong ranges) and has unsealed hilly roads - please apply your judgment to decide wether this location is suitable for your car. If available, you can book the Cockatoo Express tiny house separately for 3 people stays or if you need an extra space - please see the Cockatoo Express Airbnb listing. If you don’t book it, it might be used by another guest. The garden is shared with bees, birds, possums, myself, my beekeeper, other guests staying at Cockatoo Express (when booked) and very occasionally my friends and family members. If you need exclusive use of the garden, please reach out. Please note neighbours might use power tools during the day and there might be barking dogs nearby. The washing machine and dryer are available upstairs for longer stays at extra cost. Please don't worry at all about any damages or breakages, just leave the item out and let us know so we can replace them. On the other hand, any malicious damage, theft or disregard will be taken seriously and reported to the police.

This house is 5 minutes drive from the Wright forest where you can hike towards Emerald lakes and Puffing Billy station and museum; Gembrook is a couple hours away by foot. Sassafras village is 20 minutes drive and 1001 steps and Sherbrooke falls, half and hour. Please message me for more local recommendations.
