**Under New Management** Be surrounded by the bounties of nature at this retreat. With gorgeous ocean views, this Cape Cod-style cottage is straight out of a story book. Cradled by majestic cypress trees, you are in the peaceful countryside, yet only minutes from the beach and Apollo Bay - the best of both worlds. Enjoy the most magnificent sunsets over the rolling hills or a clear star-studded Milky Way atop. An artist's perfect paradise, it beckons meditators to come enjoy the harmony too!
My husband and I live in Melbourne and we have had this beautiful place for a few years now. Having grown up in a buzzing cosmopolitan city, I find I am transformed when I come here, to a much happier, calmer version of myself, almost instantly. I am mesmerised by nature's splendour and forget my worries. There is a phrase in Sanskrit, (an ancient Indian language thousands of years old) - Va-su-dev Ku-tum-bukum meaning the whole world is one family. It is with this sentiment, that we welcome you to come and enjoy what's ours, at this retreat or "Ananda" as we call it, (meaning Bliss in Sanskrit).
You will be close to a lot of popular tourist attractions. The Otway National Park is 20mins from the cottage and is renowned for its international mountain biking events. The picturesque Lake Elizabeth in Forrest is 40 mins away. There's the Otway Treetop Adventure 45 mins away within the national park. Apollo Bay is a 15min drive and the Scenes Creek Beach is 5 mins down the hill. Broughtons Access is a quiet road and great for walks or wanders or rides too. You can do day trips to the world acclaimed 12 Apostles national park at Port Campbell. On your way you can visit the Maitts rest rainforest walk ,Johanna beach , The RedWoods, triplet Falls, and Princetown.A COUPLE OF DAYS WONT BE ENOUGH! It is necessary to have a car to best explore and enjoy the best the area has to offer. There is free parking for our guests.
