Redruth is the little sister to our beach house on Airbnb, Sheoakes.
Since 2017, we have been using and renovating this original 1940’s shack, getting a feel for it and trying to keep to the original design whilst also bringing it into the 21st century.
Like Sheoakes, we have created numerous spaces to relax in and out of the sun, cold and wind!
The cosy interior features a wood fire, new bespoke fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom.
World traveller since '81, can't do without .... surfing, girlfriend, design, good food / wine, ski/snowboarding, art, books, music, movies and designing/making/building.( Not necessarily in that order!)
Life's short !
Bob is available by phone any time during your stay if you have any questions.
Falmouth is a special place on a unique Island ..... so relaxing
Falmouth is off the east coast tourist trail so there are no street lights, shops or petrol stations. It has dirt roads and is very quiet and that’s how we & the locals like it!
We advise that you come stocked up with food and wine. The nearest shop, petrol station and pharmacy is 10-15 min's away by car at St Marys or Scamander. St Helens has far more choice and is 20 minutes away.
We are three hours from Hobart and two hours from Launceston.
1 hour to Bay of Fires to the North and 1 hour to Frecinet Peninsula to the South. There is a great coastal walk, access is down the street in front of the house. This will take you to the beach, headland and Henderson’s lagoon.
There is room outside in front of Redruth for a couple of cars. You will need a car to get to and from Falmouth. However, once you are here, you will only need your car to go exploring outside of Falmouth. We love our daily coastal walks here!
