Completely wind down and relax in this spacious home away from home.
"SeaHen Lodge" is set on an acre in a very quiet area with sweeping mountain views. It has a chalet feel and rustic timber interior and is perfect for family groups.
The central location makes it a great base to explore the region as it is smack bang in the middle with short easy drives to Strahan, Macquarie Heads, Queenstown, Tullah, Rosebery, Trial and Granville Harbours and Corinna. Cradle Mountain is 1.5 hours drive away.
SeaHen Lodge is a very comfortable space and perfect for multiple families as it can accommodate up to 10 guests.
The hosts live at the back of the property in the caretaker’s quarters. The two spaces are separate and very private. The hosts can easily cater to most guest’s requirements. Guests can decide how much interaction they want with the hosts.
The guests have their own private entrance, driveway, parking area, verandas, garden area and gazebo.
The guest space consists of 4 bedrooms in total, three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. The main bedroom suite situated on the upper floor has a king size bed with its own ensuite and balcony. The other two bedrooms upstairs are queen and double rooms. The downstairs bedroom has two double bunks (4 single beds) with its own ensuite. The main bathroom is on the ground floor.
Also downstairs is a full kitchen, lounge room and dining area. There is a well equipped laundry on the lower level.
Sorry no dogs or other animals are allowed. The owners have a friendly dog named "Rusty" who loves, loves, loves people but he's a bit fussy and doesn't get along with all dogs.
4 years ago we fell in love with the West Coast of Tasmania and now call it home….. It was a dream of ours to have a space where we could share the uniqueness of the area with others, that is when we found "SeaHen Lodge". It’s been a labour of love restoring this little piece of paradise.
The lodge is located on the outskirts of Zeehan in a very quiet street. We are the only house in the street!
We are a 15 minute walk to the local supermarket and Heemskirk hotel (pub and meals).
We are a 25 minute walk to the town centre for cafes, the post office, The West Coast Heritage Centre, the local pharmacy and more.
There are walking/bike tracks right at our doorstep.
Immerse yourself in the wildness of the West Coast. Whether you’re interested in exploring the coastal towns, losing yourself in the wilderness, or simply stepping back in history, we are here to guide you to the best hidden gems.
