Very homey, beds were so soft, it felt like I was sleeping in a cloud, the night was cold which made it better! Will be our place to stay for now on when we visit Bendigo.

Property information

The birthplace of Bendigo… Before the booming gold rush of the late 1800’s, what is now Bendigo city was a sheep station ‘Ravenswood Run’ originally expanded over a vast 118,000 acres. Gold was first discovered on the property which ultimately led to Bendigo becoming one of the richest towns in the world, as gold was mined in tonnes with immigrants migrating to the district from all over the world to find their fortune. Nowadays Ravenswood Homestead is set on a picturesque 35 acres of farmland and manicured gardens, accommodating up to 30 guests in our Servant's Quarters rooms and cottages. Guest rooms are thoughtfully detailed with comforts to enjoy in a rustic setting, each guest room with its own ensuite bathroom. Guests can wander the grounds and make use of the shared facilities during their stay, including a guest lounge with billiard table and chesterfields and our guest kitchen with basic amenities including barbeque facilities. As we are a working property, you can also say hello to our sheep, alpacas and Scottish highland cows. Most recently The Stables on the property have been completely renovated into an event space that can seat up to 150 guests to host your next big celebration.
