The Lakehouse is a quaint A-Framed freshly renovated home set on the waters edge of Lake Tinaroo. Beautifully landscaped it offers a tranquil place to gather with friends and loved ones. Plenty of spots to soak up the serenity, birdwatching and platypus spotting and opportunity for water activities. Only 2 klm from the historic township of Yungaburra and 10 minutes from the famous crater lakes of Eacham and Barrine.

When alone I do the gardening and go canoeing or sailing on the lake. Sunset is a perfect time for a drink and watch the birds roost and platypus and tree kangaroo spotting are always an option. I love to bring my art class to the lake house for a weekend session of painting. This also provides the opportunity to explore the unique shops of Yungaburra, a 5 klm walk around Lake Barrine followed by famous scones and coffee at the Barrine teahouse is a treat. Cycling the rail trail from Atherton to Mareeba is an option. An evening game of cards is always on at the Lakehouse.

The Lakehouse is centrally located on the Atherton tablelands. A perfect base to explore the Atherton Tablelands from Kuranda to Innifail. With a food and wine trail on the tablelands as well as a waterfall circuit there is always something to do. The lake offers fishing, boating and waterskiing as well as being a nature lovers delight. Yungaburra offers fine dining,historic pub, quirky cafes and bookshops and great dress shop, gift and art gallery set among tree lined street and flowering hanging baskets galore.
