Whilst you have complete privacy, we are available throughout your time with us to help with anything extra you may need. For simple check in there is a secure lock box located at the entrance to the studio. We will provide you with all information needed prior to your stay.

The Local House is spacious with one master bedroom and a large open plan kitchen/ dining/ lounge area with a fold out queen sofa bed. Perfectly suited to couples, friends or small families, The Local House sleeps 4 guests and is the perfect base while you explore our stunning town.

The Local House is in a leafy area of Byron Bay and is very peaceful - being only 1.6 km from the centre of town. The location is within walking distance to Tallows Beach (800m, 9 minute walk) and only a short 2-3 minute drive to the town centre. Byron's best surf breaks are all in close proximity. The iconic General Store & The Roadhouse Cafes are also within easy walking distance. And if you dont feel like walking we have bikes available on request! Take a short drive into the hills to experience the many delightful rivers, rainforest reserves and quaint townships. For those interested in using public transport, the bus stops for both north and south directions are located on Bangalow road, just around the corner. The Ballina/Byron Gateway Domestic Airport is a 30 minute drive south of Byron Bay, Gold Coast Domestic/International Airport is a 45 minute drive to the north. Brisbane International Airport is an easy two hours north. Regular shuttle bus services are available door to door to and from airports.
