Leave before the traffic jam, get in straight away, when you arrive: it's possible. That's luxury. It gets even better. On the day of your departure from Black Box, you can sleep in. A late brunch, another day at the pool: it's possible. We'll agree on that together too. So no rush in the morning. No departure stress. That's luxury. And also... scrap endless packing lists. Your stay includes sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels and an extensive 'at home package', so you have to lug as little back and forth as possible. Because that's luxury too. All you have to do is enjoy time together. As well as enjoying the 12-metre long heated swimming pool, the Auping beds, the ping-pong table, the extensive library, board games, a closed parking lot with charging station and the possibility to store bicycles, motorcycles or vintage cars safely and dry. Enjoy all the nooks and crannies of the domain. Enjoy a unique building. Contained between the old stable walls of our atypical "Haspengouw" square farm from 1850 with a three-metre high glass wall, two covered terraces and a view of the private garden and the inner courtyard. Black Box is located in one of the oldest farms in the "Bokkenrijders" (goat riders) town of Wellen, in the hamlet of Vrolingen. You privately enjoy the entire garden there, and you share the central courtyard with our family. We are David, Theo, Ben, the dog Mollie and the cats Lou and Vos. And myself, Barbara, owner of De Schrijfbar. Writer by profession. And "Bokkenrijders" - especially writers - approach things differently. They think outside the box. That is why we have resolutely opted for the unconventional formulas of coming and going with Black Box. And of course, because we ourselves do not like waiting until we are finally granted entrance, or having to collect everything early in the morning to get out on time. And yes, we also hate the endless packing list despite which we still forget something... Stressless travel, that is our thing. If that's your thing as well, then you are in the right place. You can also sleep well in comfortable Auping beds, because that is also a thing for us. We enjoy allowing talent to flourish, so we built a stage in the living room. And if you are really creative, you can also order a 'letter writing' workshop. There is no better gift than that self-written letter. Writing not for you? Black Box is located in Wellen, a 15-minute drive from Hasselt, Tongeren and Sint-Truiden. 40 minutes from Maastricht. A 5-minute drive from supermarkets and restaurants and close to the cycle route network and nature walks. In the spring, be amazed by the spectacle of the blossoms during a ride through the orchards. In the summer, relax by the pool and grill deliciously on the plancha. In the autumn, the fruit harvest and the game season provide culinary delights after an invigorating walk. In the winter, you can be at Winterland in Hasselt in no time.
