Our holiday home "The Yser Silence" is located at Westvleterendorp 7A. In the idyllic village between the West Coast and the Heuvelland in West Flanders. The holiday home (197 m2) has 3 bedrooms downstairs, each with its own bathroom. The large bedroom at the back has a view of the garden, ideal if you like to wake up with bird sounds; there is a separate bathroom with toilet. The bedroom in the middle with separate shower is very quiet. The bedroom at the front with separate shower, has a view of the village, 2 to 3 people can sleep here (bunk bed with a small double bed downstairs). The living room and kitchen are located upstairs. From the living room you have an open view of the fields and the village square. The sitting area in the living room with a view of the fields, can also serve as a lounge with open sliding window and sunshade. There is a toilet upstairs and downstairs. On the terrace upstairs there is a picnic bench. Downstairs a bench and patio table. There are also 4 loungers. There is room for 4 (electric) bicycles you brought along and 2 children's bicycles (inside and closed). Number of bicycles available and free to use: 2. The holiday home is located on the village square with ample parking in front of the house and at the church (charging stations for electric vehicles available). Bus stop is nearby. When you leave the house, you immediately enter an oasis of peace. Ideal for a bike ride in the fields on flat, car-free roads or a walk in nature. There are various cycling and walking routes that you can follow from the village square. Numerous brochures with routes are available in the house. Nearby you have the Eversambos (3 km), near the Yser in Stavele. The forest is a piece of quiet nature where you can spot deer at sunrise and sunset. From there you can cycle further to Fintele (5 km car-free cycling from Westvleteren village). In Westvleteren you also have the Sixtusbossen and the Abbey (4 km). Ypres and Heuvelland are approximately 15 kilometers away, the West Coast is approximately 25 km away. Numerous nice restaurants, breakfast and coffee houses in the area. Relax in Westvleteren and the beautiful Flanders Fields (the Westhoek).
