Welcome to the village of Emen – a small corner in the heart of nature, where art meets tranquility, and inspiration is born from the simplicity of life among earth, clay, and greenery. My name is Gergana – an artist, ceramicist, and educator with many years of experience. A few years ago, I chose to leave the city noise and settle here in Emen, where I found my inspiration and created not just a home, but a living creative space.
With much love and handmade effort, I transformed an old barn into an artistic building, plastered with clay and natural materials – a space that combines the coziness of traditional Bulgarian architecture with the spirit of contemporary creativity. I believe that when a person connects with nature through materials – clay, wood, stone – the sense of connection with oneself and the world deepens.
Our guesthouse is not just a place to stay – it is an invitation to experience. Here you can enjoy the silence, participate in ceramic workshops, create with your own hands, or simply relax with a cup of tea surrounded by greenery. The space includes a fully equipped studio with a pottery kiln, where I hold art sessions for both beginners and more experienced art lovers.
I await you with an open heart – here, where clay tells stories, and nature is the best teacher.
The village of Emen is small but exceptionally picturesque, nestled in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains, about 25 km from Veliko Tarnovo. It offers not just a beautiful view but an opportunity for a deep connection with nature and oneself.
The village has deep roots, carrying history and authenticity within. In recent years, Emen has also become a magnet for artists, craftsmen, and people seeking a sustainable and meaningful way of life. More and more visitors discover it as a place for inspiration, rest, and creativity.
