About the Property Divers Paradise Bonaire was formerly a resort well-respected by the dive community. Now privately owned, we’re pleased to offer this street-level, spacious corner apartment with air-conditioning in all living and sleeping areas. We can accommodate up to 5 guests, ensuring that every guest — including those on the twin bed or double sofa bed — stays cool and comfortable. The bedroom offers a split-king mattress setup (with comfort bridge), allowing either a king or two XL singles, plus an additional twin bed in the living area (see photos for layout). All mattresses and pillows are enclosed in allergen/bed bug-proof encasements for your peace of mind. Fresh linens, bath & beach towels, plus starter toiletries and coffee/tea are provided. Please note: Like many homes in Europe and the Caribbean, our apartment has just one bathroom. Water is solar-heated to align with Bonaire's sustainability practices, so extra-long showers may lead to cooler water—often welcomed in this climate! Laundry facilities include two shared washing machines for guest use, located within the complex. Clothes dryers are not common on the island; we provide both a drying rack and terrace clotheslines for traditional air drying. A fan is available to speed things up when needed. This apartment sits just steps from the community rinse tank and gear station—perfect for shore divers. Dedicated parking is directly in front of the unit, and our street-level location offers easy access with only three entry steps—no long flights of stairs to climb after a day in the sea. About the Host We are Alex and Sue, the new owners of the corner Garden View apartment at Divers Paradise Bonaire in Kralendijk. While we’re not rental investors, we’re not new to managing a vacation rental property either. We’ve hosted guests in our St. Thomas, USVI condo for years—originally bought as our retirement home. Our hearts shifted to Bonaire and all it has to offer on land and in the sea. While the resort has since been dissolved, we proudly carry on its welcoming spirit for divers, snorkelers, and island explorers from around the world. With degrees in environmental science, we’re passionate about conservation and look forward to volunteering with local sustainability efforts on Bonaire. We truly appreciate that our vacation home is equipped with solar water heating and kindly ask guests to be mindful of water and electricity use. In particular, we ask that guests turn off the air-conditioning when leaving the apartment to help reduce our environmental footprint. Supporting Bonaire’s strong culture of marine conservation, nature preservation, and sustainable tourism is deeply important to us—and we hope it becomes part of your island experience too. Since taking ownership, we've added modern conveniences for guest comfort: an upright pantry for groceries, a coffee/tea/smoothie station, all new linens and towels, and a 40" smart TV with a welcome screen and streaming access. We even added a wireless printer you can connect to from your phone—perfect if you need to print boarding passes, dive waivers, or travel documents. Wi-Fi is currently shared with other units, but we are upgrading to private high-speed internet service soon. Feel free to message us about its availability for your stay at Divers Paradise Bonaire. Though we don’t live on Bonaire full-time, our on-island property manager is available to assist when we’re not there.
