This custom timber frame chalet has been rebuilt from the ashes of the old chalet that was originally built in the 80's. Basecamp Chalet gives guests the opportunity to gaze over Strathcona Park, watch the sunrises, sunsets, and moonscapes, and have a the perfect spot to experience storm watching and the snow flakes fall. Walking and hiking trails right outside the front door. A perfect getaway in any season. You will be renting the upper main two floors of the chalet.
There is a suite in the basement that is completely separate from the upstairs. We sometimes will be up there. We are available by phone and email if any questions arise during your stay.
Mountains are everywhere. This Chalet is surrounded by one of the oldest parks in BC. You can hike, sled, bike and enjoy the surroundings.
You will need a vehicle to go into town. In the winter, snow tires and/or chains are a must.
