The perfect venue for multi-generational family get-togethers, traditional annual get together with old friends, couples romantic getaways and retreats. Stunning surroundings make weddings and other special once-in-a-lifetime events very special and memorable. Stunning waterfront property w/39 acres on Crowe River, with water frontage. Extremely private with an elevated view of the river. A long driveway leads you to this 2500 sq ft, two-story home. Comes with a beautiful well-kept barn. Inside the farmhouse, there is attention to detail with tongue and groove pine ceilings with exposed beam accents, hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, and custom stone mantel with a wood-burning fireplace. French doors leading from the kitchen to the newly built deck area with a stunning countryside view. Large indoor spa-like hot tub running off the kitchen (seasonal, winter months only) The outdoor pool to the side of the property offers a pleasant alternative to swimming in the lake (open seasonal, summer months). Full basement complete with 3rd full 4 piece bathroom. The basement also has a well-equipped rec room area. Lots of great boating, fishing, and swimming right on your doorstep!
The Municipality of Marmora and Lake is a beautiful little municipality, part of Hastings County and located in central southern Ontario. The largest village, Marmora, is surrounded by water from Crowe River, Crowe Lake and Beaver Creek. Besides the tranquil long nature walks and fishing and other water attractions on the Crowe Lake there are the following attractions: Horsin Around Riding Ranch - Wonderful riding experience, great for family fun. Get to encounter majestic creatures during your stay at Marmora Retreat. Marmora Mine - Beautiful view of the Mine that made the Iron Town what it is today. The iron pit ore has to be seen. Callaghan's Rapids Conservation Area - If you love nature, this is a spot for you. Features 2 small waterfalls. Water flows slowly and you might be able to cross the full riverbed. St. Matilda's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery - Fun and lovely trek leading to the church and cemetery. Beautiful, serene, and perfect for those who enjoy a walk. Crowe Lake Cruises - A 5-minute drive from Marmora Retreat. Enjoy a cruise on the Lake! The town of Marmora has so much to offer!
