This is a Vancouver Special designed home. The suite is on the main level. The property is on a Main Street (which comes with noise) and I have large park in front and a large park in the back which is a 5 minute walk to the inlet with ocean access.
It is just off Highway #1 for easy access and it is a Main Street with street noise. It is about a 10 - 15minute drive straight in to downtown, depending on traffic. Also, #4 bus is the bus that goes downtown, through the core and out towards UBC. Very easy.
The 2 bedroom suite is on the main level with lots of windows and natural light.
I live upstairs with my dog and I also rent out 2 private rooms in the house so there are other guests on the property.
In the front yard, there is a garden view and has a barrier so you don't see the Main Street. In the back, you enter through the carport and this is the main way people access the house. You can see the mountains which I find beautiful.
It is literally a 5 minute walk to New Brighton Park which gives you the inlet.
In the main bedroom, there is a queen bed, large dresser, chair and closet and it overlooks the backyard and mountains. The second bedroom has a double bed, dresser, nightstands and closet. There is a full size kitchen for long term stays, and eating area and large living room. There is also a washer/dryer. The bathroom has a bathtub.
There is lots of parking available, only steps away. Also, the bus stop is close as well.
The home is an older home and I have renovated it so it has a newer look and feel while keeping the uniqueness. However, the bones are solid and made of wood which does transfer noise more.
I am a Nurse and I have traveled a lot so this is a fantastic opportunity to allow guests stay at my property with me and my Hypoallergenic dog.
I love hosting and have done so for over 10 years. When I moved to this property about 7 years ago, this was a wonderful opportunity for me to share my home with guests and hopefully help you make great memories in Vancouver.
This is a great city and I have made a guidebook that I have for you to look at and I am always available to share my experiences with you as well.
I work a lot, but have slowed down a bit to "smell the roses" (I add a rose bush to my yard each year to support this). I am around the house a lot as my current job is partly remote so I am available for a chat or if you have any questions/concerns.
The property is in a neighbourhood where we all know each other and support one another. It is a great diverse neighbourhood with people from China, Vietnam, Mexico, Afghanistan and Europe.
It is 1 bus (#4) to downtown an goes straight out to UBC. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to get to the hospital downtown to work. Also very easy to take the bus to the mountains where there are tons of hikes in nature. If Romeo could speak, he would tell you this is his favourite spot (he keeps trying, but sounds just like a lot of barking).
I love this area as the people are friendly and it is easy to get to the airport, downtown, the mountains and highway. I am sure you will too.
