Cozy artist’s home on 1.5 acres of picturesque gardens, sculptures and stone patios. Wifi streaming. Bright kitchen & 3-piece bathroom. 3 bedrooms. Workspace. Close to Georgian Bay and Blue Mountain. Walk to local pub, art gallery, cafe, gift shop, and convenience store. 5 min drive to Collingwood. Artistically decorated rooms with a unique mix of rustic charm, art, pottery and antiques. Stocked hot chocolate/coffee bar. Close to trails, skiing, tennis, beach. Private entrance. Fire pit. BBQ. Our home is a restored 165 year old wood frame house with original flooring, wood trim and high ceilings. Beautiful gardens surround the house and art studio on 1.5 acres of spectacular mature shade trees. Several outdoor sitting areas invite relaxation, sketching, writing and contemplation. Child friendly. We love kids. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a spacious master bed-sitting room downstairs. Relax with self-care using the available massage table. Comfortable living room with TV, stereo, games and dining area for 4+. Intimate kitchen island for two with comfortable bistro seating. Our spacious walk-in pantry is stocked with food basics. New stainless steel gas range and large french-door fridge. New 3-piece bathroom with body wash, hair products and more provided. Laundry room with large capacity front loading washer and gas dryer . Ample parking for two or 3 cars. Deck, patio, BBQ , outdoor dining and fire pit available.
Lory grew up on Toronto Island and is an artist, arts educator, and event planner. She is the founder and past director of Artfest Ontario which produces art festivals in Kingston and Toronto. She is the midst of a career change and has just launched the Artists House Retreat. She welcomes guests for art workshops, creative pursuits, relaxation, and inspiring comfortable stays. Al is a musician and arts education developer specializing in Experiential Learning at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Lory and Al love downhill skiing, cycling on their tandem bike, tennis, and darts. They are also passionate about gardening, reading, cottaging, and travelling.
Nottawa is a small village just south of Collingwood. We are close to many awesome attractions: Close to walking and hiking trails, Georgian Bay and downtown Collingwood shopping. Blue Mountain All season resort includes a Village for shopping, dining, live music, outdoor movies, downhill skiing, a skating trail, Zip lines, trails, mountain biking, tube riding, Ridge Runner Coaster and more. 15 minutes away. Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain is a world class escape and relaxing experience with outdoor hot tubs, pools, sauna, massage and a many services. 15 minutes away. Wasaga Beach is the longest fresh water beach in the world. 15 minutes away.
