The two of us visited Costa Rica 30 years ago and fell in love with the country and people our very first week. We love the outdoors, nature and wildlife - all of which Costa Rica has an abundance of. We live between LA and Costa Rica, love to travel the world, and are always looking for meaningful ways to help underprivileged people.
Villa Areopagus sits atop a gated 14-acre property in a small ranching/farming town of 500 lovely Costa Ricans, an eight-minute drive to Atenas. Our town is a tranquil, picturesque community where coffee plants and citrus trees dot the rolling hills. The morning's sunrise over the low-lying clouds (see cover photo) and the sunsets are amazing. There are a couple places to buy basic groceries. You can also hike the local region from the house. Local car rental available at reduced rates. Private driver available. All paid separately.
