Staying at our Villa Helena de Hermosa vacation rental home near the beach in Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas province is like having your own private tropical resort retreat, perfect for large family and friend reunions. This five-bedroom vacation villa showcases a Spanish mission-style architecture with arched wood windows, exposed wood beams, decorative wrought-iron, ceramic tile countertops, terracotta floor tiles, natural stone on walls and floors, and tiled roofs, giving it a charming and elegant look, perfectly adapted to its environment. The villa boasts solid wood furniture that continues its Costa Rican-Spanish colonial theme and is tastefully decorated with Latin American crafts and art works that transport you to another time. Nonetheless, it is equipped with modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout the villa, and two washer/dryer sets, making your stay comfortable and convenient. The villa’s main feature is a large courtyard with a private pool, flanked by wood and concrete columns supporting covered decks on both sides. Here you can lounge, doze off, dine, and swim in the sun or shade. A gas barbecue grill and two large and beautifully crafted wood tables and chairs allow for al fresco dining for up to fourteen guests. Two hammocks allow you to embrace the Pura Vida way of life.

Playa Hermosa is a beautiful, long stretch of unspoiled beach. The break is one of the most consistent in Central America, and well known among surfers. It's famous for surfing since it has held international competitions. The best surfing breaks occur from May to November, time of our best prices too! If you don’t surf, you will enjoy walking on the fine sand and swimming at low tide. Opera Salvaje is a family-friendly and exclusive community just two kilometers off the town of Hermosa. In Hermosa, you will find restaurants and a basic grocery store. For more variety you can easily go to Jaco, just a 15-minute ride from the house. Supermarkets and restaurants offer delivery service, so you don’t have to spend time driving. Golf and sport-fishing are 20 minutes away, at the Los Suenos Resort and Marina. The Manuel Antonio National Park is a one-hour drive away.
