The house is situated in a working town right on the doorstep of the Akamas which is an area of outstanding beauty for nature lovers. Polis town hosts many tavernas & restaurants which all provide a warm welcome. We are 50 metres from the closest beach which you can usually have to yourself even in August & 10 minutes walk from the municipal beach at Polis campsite which has a cafe, sun beds & toilet facilities. The house overlooks fields at the rear with views of the orange groves. Our guests often say this is their most relaxed holiday.
My husband & I met in Cyprus which is known as the island of Love because of its connection to Aphrodite the Goddess of Love. When we returned we fell in love with the slow pace of life, friendly Cypriots, beautiful scenery & of course the fabulous climate so bought the house for our retirement & want to share it with you.
The neighbourhood is a mix of permanent Cypriot residents with a few houses & apartments owned for holiday rentals & European home owners. It’s quiet, close to the beach & short 10 minute walk to the small town of Polis. There is a large supermarket supplying everything you could need & several independent shops. Latchi which is 10 minutes drive or a scenic coastal walk hosts a marina & lots more restaurants. For the more adventurous Latchi has boat hire & trips. Nicosia is the last divided city in the world & is within driving distance for a day visit.
