This lovely apartment in Cologne's old town has everything the traveller needs. Freshly renovated, the apartment contains a living-sleeping room, a fully-equipped kitchen and a bathroom. In the kitchen you'll find all the usual mod-cons as well as some basic consumables such as coffee, cooking oil, salt, spices etc. The main room is equipped with a double bed, a sofa that pulls out to sleep two people, as well as a table and chairs. A large wardrobe provides space for all your clothing. In the basement of the building there is a washing machine dedicated to the apartment, so it is available to you at any time. Clothes can be dried inside the apartment on a clothes horse.

Since I am often away from Cologne and am not rich enough to pay rent in two places at once, during my absences I give this apartment to visitors to this city who are looking for an alternative to a traditional hotel or hostel.

The apartment is located on the edge of the historic medieval old-town. Indeed, the old city walls used to run right through where the building now stands. About twenty metres away is a kiosk where you can get beer, snacks, newspapers, etc. A bit further away is a multitude of shops and places to eat and drink. Right around the corner from the apartment is the U-Bahn & S-Bahn station Hansaring, from where you can go anywhere in the city. The airport is about 15 minutes by S-Bahn, and the main train station is about 1 minute by S-Bahn or 10 minutes on foot. There is a fun nightlife area - the Ring between Friesenplatz and Rudolphplatz - within walking distance or a couple of stops on the U-Bahn. There are also plenty of museums and pleasant cafés within a couple of kilometres.
