SauerlandBookings is a German/Dutch family business and operates from Germany and the Netherlands. We are 2 sisters and share our passion for the Sauerland and our knowledge of online marketing. This has resulted in our website SauerlandBookings growing into one of the largest and most comprehensive websites in the Sauerland region. The website has been online since 2013. Since we offer accommodation in different price ranges, we can reach a wide audience. We rent throughout the year and therefore have different seasonal prices. We offer homeowners the opportunity to rent out their holiday home through us. We are selective in adding new accommodation. The accommodations must meet our strict quality requirements. The charming log house of about 75 m2, is set amidst lush nature, on a small hill that you reach via a fairly steep driveway. This location offers an idyllic retreat for nature lovers. From the cosy living room you have direct access to the partly covered terrace, where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The open-plan kitchen with dining area is compact but well equipped. The log house has two bedrooms, one with a comfortable double bed and the other with a bunk bed. The bathroom has all the necessary amenities, including a toilet, sink and a shower. Downstairs (note: only accessible from outside), you will find a cosy room with a comfortable sofa, a box bed and another bathroom, complete with a shower, toilet and sink. It is important to note that the blockhouse is in the middle of the forest, which means you can expect spiders or falling leaves, depending on the season. In spring, you will be treated to the beautiful spectacle of new leaves coming out. Space in the living room and kitchen can be perceived as limited or as intimate. That it is a charming log house is beyond doubt.

The blockhouse is conveniently located on the outskirts of Heringhausen, a village on Lake Diemel. Here you will find plenty of outdoor activities, including fishing, diving, swimming, canoeing, sailing and even round trips on the lake. Although there are no shops in the village, there are several eateries to enjoy. Moreover, you can reach the bustling winter sports village of Willingen in just 20 minutes by car and it is 45 minutes to Winterberg.
