Hello and welcome!
My name is Serif, I’m 34 years young, married, and the proud father of two wonderful children. Professionally, I work as a freelancer in project management and offer vacation rentals on the side.
My family and I love to travel and deeply appreciate staying in vacation homes that give us the feeling of being at home.
As a host, it’s important to me that my guests feel comfortable and have an unforgettable time. I’m flexible, helpful, and happy to assist with any questions or concerns you may have. My accommodation is ideal for business travelers, couples, and families, and I look forward to meeting people from all over the world.
Why I am a host:
Being a host gives me the opportunity to meet new people and show them the best sides of my town. I love sharing insider tips and personal recommendations, whether it's for restaurants, sights, or activities that you absolutely must experience.
Why I chose this accommodation:
As a host, I chose a vacation home in Schluchsee because it’s the perfect place for all four seasons.
Being right by the lake and just a few kilometers from activities like hiking, skiing, or cycling is a luxury for the mind and soul that I want to share with my guests.
What makes this accommodation unique:
What makes our apartment unique is the special mix of modern design and 1970s charm. The high ceilings and wooden beams give the space a distinctive touch, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere.
1. **Schluchsee itself**
- Schluchsee is the largest lake in the Black Forest and offers numerous leisure activities all year round: swimming, sailing, stand-up paddling, fishing, or simply enjoying a relaxing boat trip. In winter, when the lake freezes, ice skating is possible.
- For hiking enthusiasts, there is the trail around the lake (about 18 km), perfect for a day hike or a leisurely walk.
2. **Hiking and Biking Trails**
- **Feldberg**: The highest mountain in the Black Forest is only about 20 minutes away and offers fantastic hiking trails and skiing opportunities in winter.
- **Hike to Riesenbühlturm**: The Riesenbühl Tower provides a stunning view of Schluchsee and the surrounding mountains. The climb is especially worthwhile in good weather.
- **Biking routes**: Numerous well-maintained biking paths crisscross the region, ideal for mountain biking or leisurely rides through the scenic landscapes.
3. **Titisee**
- Nearby is the Titisee, another popular lake in the Black Forest. It’s smaller than Schluchsee but equally charming, offering activities like boat rides, pedal boating, and quaint souvenir shops.
- In winter, the Titisee area also offers a wide range of ski slopes and cross-country ski trails.
4. **Thermal Baths and Wellness**
- **Badeparadies Schwarzwald** in Titisee-Neustadt: A tropical-themed water park with slides for the whole family and a large wellness area – perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors.
5. **Museums and Culture**
- **Black Forest Ski Museum** in Hinterzarten: A small but interesting museum that tells the history of skiing in the Black Forest.
- **German Clock Museum** in Furtwangen: Showcases the long tradition of Black Forest clockmaking, including the famous cuckoo clocks.
6. **Restaurants**
- **Seehof Café and Hotel** directly on Schluchsee: Popular for its go
