The mountaineering village of Sachrang is nestled in picturesque countryside in close proximity to numerous, renowned mountains and Lake Chiemsee on the Bavarian side, as well as the majestic Kaiser Mountains and the Kitzbühel Alps on the Tyrolean side. Enjoy boundless nature and benefit from the excellent location for countless activities: Summer: hiking, mountain biking, cycling, climbing, swimming, sailing, golfing, family holidays, rafting, castles, boat trips on Lake Chiemsee, festival in Erl, Alpine animal park. Winter: Cross-country skiing, skiing (small children's ski area incl. ski school directly in Sachrang, the ski areas in Durchholzen, Hochkössen and Winklmoosalm can be reached in no time by car), ski tours, tobogganing. There are no limits to the activities! Very attractive tours, e.g. to the Wildbichl Alm or to the Karspitze, start right outside the front door across the green border to Tyrol.
