In the beautiful Spree valley in the 1000-year-old city of Bautzen your holiday apartment is located on the southern slope of the Steinberg - directly on the Spreeradweg. Although the apartment is located on the outskirts of the city in a natural location, you can easily reach the Bautzen old town by bike or on foot. The very nice and modern apartment offers space and relaxation for up to four guests. A large eat-in kitchen has a fully equipped kitchenette and a comfortable sofa with sleeping accommodation for the fourth person. Your stay will be complemented by a small garden with a terrace, where you can relax and have a barbecue in good weather. The apartment has two parking spaces directly at the house. Bicycles can be stored in the traditional rock cellar. On individual requests can be reacted quickly. The bedroom is decorated with Nordic accents and a double bed. In another lovingly furnished room is a single bed and a small TV. There is also a cot for toddlers. The sun yellow bathroom is equipped with toilet, bath and washing machine.
We are a family with two parents and four children from 5 to 14 years. We grew up in East Saxony and have been living in our city since 2001. We love to travel and always rent apartments, because we want to feel the local way of life as authentic as possible - of course, only the relaxing part! And that's exactly what we invite you to do here.
The old town of Bautzen with its mighty stone walls, many towers and bastions can be reached on quiet walkways and roads in about 20 minutes. There are numerous restaurants and cafes that we recommend. The dinosaur park and the maze as nationally known attractions in the neighboring Kleinwelka are about 3 km away. Many towers - including the somewhat crooked Reichenturm, or the Bautzener Wasserkunst - can be climbed. Not only at Easter you will find out that Bautzen is the capital of the Sorbs and that our region is bilingual. A well-developed cycle path network gives plenty of possibilities for sports and recreation.
The mountains of the Oberlausitzer Bergland are just outside the city, and the sandstone cliffs of Saxon Switzerland are definitely worth a day trip. In the near forested area of Bautzen there are various bathing lakes, e.g. the lake of Bautzen enjoys friends of water sports, and the Olbasee or the Blue Adria are nice places for a sun bath and to go swimming. Our neighboring countries Poland and the Czech Republic are also highly recommended for day trips.
