The KNAUS campsite is located in the small village of Frickenhausen which lies on the foot of the beautiful vineyard Kapellenberg, directly at the River Main. The camping park is divided by a side arm of the river Main. On the resulting island you find a large children's playground, volleyball field, grill hut as well as a giant chess board. Directly adjacent to the camping park is the newly designed public outdoor swimming pool. The entrance is free for our guests. The centre of Frickenhausen with its patrician houses is about 1 km away. The historic old town of Ochsenfurt, with its beautiful half-timbered buildings, is also just 1 km away on the opposite bank of the river Main. The nearby wine resorts of Sommerhausen and Randersacker are also worth a visit. The famous bishop's town of Würzburg with its numerous sights, the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Residenz and its many shopping opportunities is located about 20 km away. Bamberg, another bishop's town, is also only a car trip away.The campsite is also an ideal starting point for discoveries in or through the romantic Frankenland.
