This magnificent family-run hotel is a 19th-century castle set in quiet green countryside in the Taunus Nature Park. It lies between Kelkheim and Königstein, a 30-minute drive from Frankfurt and Wiesbaden.
The Schlosshotel Rettershof was built in 1884 on the site of a 12th-century monastery. The classic rooms feature modern furniture, a flat-screen TV and en-suite bathroom, and some also have a private balcony.
A breakfast buffet is available each morning, or delivered to your room. Seasonal specialities are served in the elegant Retter’s restaurant with its rich wooden panelling.
Guests are welcome to relax in the chimney lounge or on the spacious terrace. On-site leisure facilities include a sauna, bowling alley and tennis court.
