Together, we run Mystic-T in Papenburg (only 15 minutes from the holiday home), a special place where shop and photo studio come together. In the shop you’ll find medieval, Viking and retro fashion, while in the studio unique photo shoots take place – from business portraits to fantasy and weddings.
Creativity and hospitality go hand in hand with us. We make sure your stay is not only comfortable, but also warm and personal.
Thanks to its quiet location and the proximity to Heeder Lake (within walking distance), Holiday Home Viking is the perfect place for families, couples or friends who want to combine nature and relaxation. Visit the thousand-year-old linden tree or the Marienkirche, or enjoy cycling and hiking in the surrounding area.
🌳 The Thousand-Year-Old Heede Linden Tree
In the center of Heede stands a summer linden more than 1000 years old – the thickest linden in Germany and even in Europe. With its massive crown, it is a living monument and a special energy spot.
✨ Pilgrimage Site Heede
Heede is known as a spiritual place due to Marian apparitions in the 1930s. Today, a chapel marks the site, where visitors can still experience peace, strength and quiet reflection.
🌊 The River Ems and Bollingerfähr Locks
The River Ems shapes Heede with its branches and old river arms. The impressive locks of Bollingerfähr and the nearby Ems weir are wonderful destinations for a cycling trip or walk.
🏞️ Heeder Lake & WakePark
Just a 5-minute walk away lies Heeder Lake – perfect for swimming, strolling or relaxing. For the active, the WakePark offers waterskiing, wakeboarding, SUP and a large aqua park. Children will love the playgrounds and sandy beach.
🚲 Cycling and Hiking
Heede is located directly on popular routes such as the Ems Cycle Path and the Dortmund-Ems Canal Route. There are also “smuggler routes” and day trips through the Emsland and into the Netherlands, with plenty of resting spots along the way.
🏰 Fortress Bourtange (NL)
Just across the border in the Netherlands lies Bourtange, a beautifully restored fortress town dating back to 1742. With moats and bastions, it makes for a charming day trip full of history.
