We are a Spanish couple who restored a historic villa into 7 loft suites. Guests book a loft suite or the entire villa. When we were travelers, we found most hotels in Santo Domingo had removed the inner Spanish courtyard to fill it with small rooms. You'll love how we've prioritized the garden and pool instead. Unlike them, our villa offers a refreshing pool exclusively for our guests (no “day pass” here!)—a perfect respite after a humid tropical day. We found one of the last authentic colonial houses in ruins, but we saw the potential. Plus, we totally fell in love with the awesome history of the Ciudad Colonial in Santo Domingo, where it is located. Revamp took 2 years, as we found the property in ruins. Dating from the 1500s, it is part of a UNESCO heritage Hospital. Committed to local crafts, Dominican artisans made our rattan chairs, repurposed mahogany tables, and cacti pots.

Our Suites range from 45m² to 70m², each featuring a kitchen and offering more than double the living area of typical hotel rooms in Santo Domingo. Seamless 24/7 self check-in means no reception desk interactions, while the absence of TVs encourages you to disconnect. Explore at your own pace, cook your own meals, and enjoy the freedom that comes with staying in one of the most private villas in Santo Domingo. "Slow Living" design features: calm and natural finishes, micro-cement floors, lime-washed walls, and high ceilings.Our guests are independent travelers who love this approach. PAYMENT: no amount is charged when you enter a credit/debit card on BOOKING. We will email a payment link after reservation.
