The Mini Lodge is located at the end of a bustling Dominican neighborhood and facing the lagoon. You have an expansive view over the lagoon, National Park El Choco and the mountains beyond. The lodge was built by Gianni with lots of love and eye for details. The comfortable space offers all amenities for a long- or short term stay.
Gianni is a Swiss national who has been living in the neighborhood for decades and has built up a lot of trust and respect with his neighbors over the years. At almost 80 years old, he can still be found kiting nearly every day and knows all the ins and outs of Cabarete water sports scene. Dani also lives nearby and has been working in all aspects of tourism in Cabarete and elsewhere. Having traveled through most of Latin America as a tour guide and with extensive tourism management experience, she is your go-to for all travel related questions.
Callejon de la Loma is an up-and-coming, mostly Dominican, neighborhood with lots of little shops, bars and restaurants. The neighborhood stretches 12 blocks from Cabarete Beach on one end to the Cabarete caves on the other. The Mini Lodge is located just a couple of blocks from the cave entrance.
Because the Mini Lodge is located in a residential area and is built open to maximize the beautiful view, it is possible to hear some Dominican noises such as a crowing rooster or music playing. Also, because of the open design and the lodge bordering the National Park, sometimes an insect here and there should leave you unfazed.
