Stick to yourselves – nude or not – or enjoy the company of 2 highly sociable hosts, 2 teens & a bunch of highly human dogs: in a caravan in the garden of our home in the countryside of Almayate at 2,5km from Costa del Sol's only unspoiled beach, half an hour drive from Málaga:
Get the best of 2 worlds: camping + the shared access to all commodities incl. pool, huge terrace overlooking the sea, outside kitchen with bbq, covered dining & billiard table on a plot of 5.000m² full of fruits.
The camper is located in the lower part of our garden surrounded by mango and avocado trees directly below our pool terrace, mostly protected from views from above.
Outdoor area:
Private graveled terrace around the camper, view over the countryside and the sea, (dining) table, sun loungers, hammock, brick-built outdoor kitchen incl. two hobs (gas), bbq, solar shower
Inside:
Double bed, fully equipped kitchen (3 gas hobs), fridge, seating area (can be converted into extra bed), sound system, bath.
Inconveniences:
- only pipi in the camper toilet (you can use the toilet next to the pool on the shared terrace)
- solar shower only has hot water with sunlight
- you park your car outside the gate, it's some hundred steps to the camper and some hundred steps from the camper to the shared terrace and toilet.
- We strongly recommend you rent a car. Even though we are only at 1,5km from town via the direct path, it can be quite an adventurous cross-country hike (depending on how high the weeds grow at the time), and the steep uphill way from town to the finca can be rather unpleasant if you need to carry luggage and groceries.
We’re a German-Belgian couple in our fifties with useless degrees in economics and car mechanics gathered in London, Barcelona and Antwerp. In our former lives Anna was a writer for the media circus in Munich and Bert a process operator on gas and oil platforms in the Northern Sea.
Joining forces, we now property-operate and trouble-shoot ourselves through the craziness of life and hosting, poorly assisted by two teenagers and far too many dogs.
Rural idyll, breath-taking views over the sea, virgin soils and the mountains – and still only a stone’s throw away from the village Almayate.
From the finca, the direct line to town is 1,5 km, by car you’ll need to drive a little detour to avoid crossing private properties or the river bed (3.5 km).
Almayate may not be the most picturesque town you have ever seen, but it’s sweet and has everything you need: shops, bars, restaurants, even a pub and night club, playgrounds, bus stops. And it’s at only 1 km from the only unspoilt coastal strip of Costa del Sol with plenty of beach bars where you can enjoy fresh fish and meat from the bbq and much more, some of which are open all year round.
Only 600 m further up the coast towards Torre del Mar, you’ll find the popular nudist beach Almanat. You can choose between chiringuitos (beach bars) that like to see people wearing clothes… or not.
The bigger town Torre del Mar is four kilometres away. Here, you’ll find loads of shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants of all kinds, ice cream parlours, cafés, discotheques, night clubs and pubs. The beach promenade stretches over various kilometres and is really nice – to go for a walk, stroll around, go rollerblading, bicycling or have the obligatory stop for tapas and a nice glass of wine.
In the West Málaga, Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Marbella, Ronda, Estepona, Gibraltar or Tarifa, in the East Vélez-Málaga, Nerja, the white villages or Granada – what about a little day trip? And even Córdoba or Sevilla can be reached in around two hours by car…
